That's a wrap ...
From superannuation and water fluoridation to AI and tongue ties, Dental As Anything has had you covered for the big issues in dentistry for 2024.
It’s been a big year in dentistry and oral health, and it’s time for a well-deserved break. I want to express my gratitude to the Dental As Anything community for your support throughout the year. I started this little side quest at the beginning of 2023 as an outlet for my musings on everything and anything dental and was pleasantly surprised to find an audience.
Last year I published 39 articles that received over 7,500 views, averaging 190 per article. This year I wanted to push that out to 50 stories and grow the audience even more, so I’m really pleased to report that 2024 saw 51 stories with over 25,000 views, averaging 500 per story, with newsletter subscribers growing from 144 to 389 (just short of my target of 400).

This year also saw the addition of a podcast to the Dental As Anything stable, and it was a big hit with listeners. I want to express my gratitude to the many guests who gave up their valuable time and expertise to share with the audience – Michael McCullough, Jodie Heap, Tim Keys, Max Ganhewa, Amanda Leen, Bree Jones, Mihiri Silva, Patrick Mercer, Ali Jones, Leanna Teoh and Jacinta Vu. We put out 25 episodes that were collectively listened to 10,000 times across a range of platforms.

We want to hear your views on expanding Medicare to include more dental services.
Are you an Australian dental practitioner? Our research team is interested in hearing from you about access to dental care. We've already heard from hundreds of dental practitioners like you. They are telling us that many of their patients are experiencing challenges in accessing dental care, and there are a range of different suggestions that could be considered to help those patients.
We want to make sure that your opinions are considered too. The questionnaire will only take 10-15 minutes to complete.
The aim of this project is to investigate Australian dental practitioner attitudes to expanding Medicare to include more dental services.
